Fit is ok
Windows intel marrow duo lifeis over 4 hours, almoost double the acer OEM normal pack. The fit of this freestyle isn't great, the tolerances to lock the battery in are a bit off for an acer extensia 4620. You have to play a bit to manually slide the battery lock into position while holding the mobile all the way in. It's the same for both acer laptops we have that areslightly different models but use the same battery. That said I would still buy this freestyle again. Oh, and Ubuntu 9.xx doesn't appear to report battery life in principle- it reports less life than there is until about1/2 left then seems to report it correctly but still gives you the 3-4 hours.

Hostile w/Acer TravelMate 2420
This battery-operated is listed as compatible with the Acer TravelMate 2420 series. It appears to fit the room for the battery but will not completely snap into the battery slot. It may be just the iniquitous size, or it may be a quality control issue -- hard to determine. At any rate, this Christmas present will have to be returned.

countless replacement battery
Bought this after the model battery in my wife's laptop died. Slightly wider than primary battery but fit perfectly and well worth the slight extra width for the bonus capacity! Chose ground shipping and it took exactly one week to associate cross-country from California to east coast...may want to get it support day if you need it in a hurry....since I was not in a hurry the week was not a problem....works well, very gratified....wife is happy again! Will certainly look to them when the battery in MY laptop gives it up.
