Acquainted with Dell Latitude D620 laptop
I worn the same laptop at work for the about the last 3 years, and it is a work horse. I can buy a brand new commercial laptop for pair hundred bucks more, but I wanted the reliability of the professional business laptop. I have to say this utilized business machine Laptop works well except for 3 problems: First, the battery only lasts 5 minutes, second, the DVD burner keenness work sporadically (DVD door doesn't eject consistently, and it doesn't always sense the DVD or CD in it). Handed the laptop to my 11 year old daughter few weeks after get (Christmas gift), so I did not find out about these problems until 2 month after purchase. Contacted the seller, but the warrantee had expired after 30 era of purchase, so I have to buy a battery and drive on my own. Third thing, the XP pro operating system was loaded on the computer, but the reclamation disks were not included; I hope the hard the hard drive doesn't topple sometime soon.

Haggle Notebook
I purchased the D620 for my daughter in college when her 2 yr old HP pad died due to an overheating problem (long story). After verifying that the D620 worked well by connecting to the internet and installing XP SP 3, I moved over one of the RAM chips (for a come to of 1.5 GB) and the harddrive from the HP. I then installed Windows 7 and recovered her data files (I didn't de facto expect a college student to use the flash drives that I gave her for backups). At the last moment, I installed software including Office 7. Throughout the process the D620 performed spotlessly. I tested it by running DVDs, Office apps and videos over the internet (after I set up a wireless acquaintance). This is one fine notebook, very fast and with a good display. Its only "uncivil comings" are obvious from the specs, i.e., no web cam, no media slots and no DVD burner. But these are definitely minor issues given the price.
Sympathetic Laptop for the price
Laptop was as advertised, shipping was fixed and it was well packed. I would recommend to a friend.

A impeccably good laptop
To look over one of the other reviews one would think the reviewer is talking about a completely different shape. My family has two of these and we have experienced none of the problems that the other reviewer has mentioned. XP is a very stable dais and we'll see if Windows Seven will live up to the hype. As far as poor sound I meditate compared to what? I've had several different laptops and netbooks and they sound tinny compared to the D620. Besides, I by fair means the machine up to external powered speakers to listen to my music library.
Let's kisser it. If Dell built poor quality equipment they wouldn't be in business as large as they have been.

Quantity of garbage
Even meet an outdated OS like windows XP in 2009 this laptop under performs. It takes a very great time to start up programs, long load times, dream of boot times, random freezes, hard drive problems after one year with further degraded engagement, it's a cheap mess. The laptop itself is very heavy and rugged but lugging that mass around to protect cheap unreliable hardware seems foolish to me. The hard determination always requires at least 40% improvement on read times even right after a de-frag. The track-pad stops working randomly and when using this laptop for work that can be a noteworthy problem and usually requires a restart. Internet explorer crashes randomly on this make but works fine on any other system I have , VM-Ware takes roughly 10-15 mins to anxiety to a useable state on this laptop, the speakers are terrible, the usb ports call for drivers to work properly and like most Dell systems I have used including the XPS the dvd-rom get-up-and-go stops working and stops reading disc's after you install a few programs, rip music or trade disc's a couple of times requiring yet another restart....the dvd rom icon even goes missing from my computer like you don't even have a dvd plunge to begin with?!?! Well I think I have covered everything and it's basically the whole damn computer.
Over all this laptop is nothing but prosaic, cheap, unreliable garbage.

Stopped working the flu after 6 months
Worked close, but 6 months after purchase it stopped working cold. The battery lights show a full indictment, the laptop says it is charged, but the computer must be plugged in to work at all. Seems like the unruly is the chassis, not the battery cells. It is made in China.

This freestyle works - IF your computer is plugged into the wall! Do NOT buy this battery - pay $100 for a real one rather than wasting $50 on this one.

Like primeval but may not last as long
Unforgivable product fit and finish...looks just like the original. It doesn't seem to have honestly the same capacity as the original Dell battery though: I get about 2+ hours out of it on a Latitude D630, and I entertain the idea when my Dell battery was new I got about 3 hours. For the price, though, I'm happy with this one, and would buy it again.
Client Beware!!
I purchased this mobile through one of Amazon's third party sellers. In less than two months it was completely dead. Amazon instructed me to connection the manufacturer, a company in CA called Dek-Cell. However, their customer service conditioned by trust in refused to issue a refund because the battery was not purchased directly from them. The "seller"-- Ruddy Around-- does not list any contact info on its profile. So, in light of the mobile's dodgy performance and the manufacturer's unwillingness to take responsibility for its defective work, I strongly urge Amazon shoppers to avoid purchasing this effect.

I'm wondering how many cells are in this Replacement Freestyle
I received this freestyle on time with no delays in shipping. I installed it in my Dell 620 and charged it.
The mobile performed as advertized However; I did notice It weighed less than the original. Perhaps there are fewer cells in it than the true battery or it's made from cheaper materials only time will tell if it will last the full 2 years or so. Note :
Update. The freestyle Lastes for about an Hour before it shuts down. The recharge went OK so Far so good.

Other than keyboard replacement
The keyboard fit superlatively. Nice feel. The only thing is missing the keyboard mouse remain which is part of the original Dell laptop.
Active, but different than pictured
It's carry out for me, but just know that it is not identical to the picture. It does not have the blue put to use-stick control in the middle of the keyboard but instead has full size keys there. I always use the touchpad so it doesn't stuff to me.

Adroit Easy Replacement
For very recently a few dollars and a couple of screws you can get your laptop back like new if you have keyboard problems! Buy it and do it yourself.
Superior part, easy to install
I purchased this key directors to replace on my Dell D830. I did an internet search and found complete instructions for the positioning. I was surprised how easy it was to perform the replacement. I believe most anyone can perform this test of strength with only the use of one small flat blade screw driver and on small phillips wit screwdriver.

Bought this as a replacement for a discontinuous keyboard but this was defective. Returned it to seller on January 5, 2010 but have not received a replacement or a riposte from seller. Do not buy from this seller! Does not respond to e-mail.

A: Make sure your TV and laptop have an S-Video outlet and then go buy an S-Video cable. They're like $5. Hook it up to your TV and laptop, change your TV's input to the correct one (Video 1 or 2 etc). On your laptop hold down Fn key and then hit F8. At least on my laptop it's F8, it could be different on yours, but it will be one of the F keys. Mine says something like 'CRT' on the F key in blue font.
