Unbelievably Profitable!
This computer is Formidable! When I got it I ripped open the package. Before I turned it on I just stared at it for like 15 minutes! It is so "striking" as some reviews quoted. I agree. If you're just in it for the looks (which I am not), you want this computer. If you're looking for a fixed computer for download large files and surf the web, this is ideal for you. This computer has 802.11 outline-n. Super fast computer even without a Wireless-N router. Plus it's good for countless DVD/CD Burning with DVD+R
DL plus it has Labelflash! Plus it's got an HDMI cable puncture! It comes with a nice large touch pad. But if you like mice greater, check out my review on the Targus AMU0503US Mini Kaleidoscope Visual Retractable Mouse. Read my pros, cons and suggestions.
Pros: HDMI indentation, DVD+R DL and CD-R drive, 802.11 draft-n wireless, "sexy" look if you will, Labelflash for Lazering pictures onto your DVD or CD, Spacious screen, 3GB DDR2 Memory, Windows Vista Home Premium, and 250GB severe drive.
Cons: A little heavy.
Suggestions: I would suggest using this as an run-of-the-mill every-function computer!

Tremendous Buy!
My son needed a lap top for college. He premeditated computer programing and CISCO Systems in high school, and said this was a produce buy. In college now, he is loving it!
Principled bought this yesterday - no major complaints
I fair purchased this laptop from Best Buy yesterday, and I'm pleased so far with the results. I was a not much apprehensive about making the switch to Vista 64 bit, but so far, so good. I've only found one HW memo so far that I've had trouble with - a little $10 USB travel mouse. So far, all other software and metal goods has worked fine in Vista 64 (most importantly, my old games).
I refuge't run into any issues yet, just the typical bloatware that was installed on the PC by gateway. One other annoyance with the scroll role on the mousepad. The right area is dedicated to the scroll function, and it's not wholly as responsive as I'd like, but so far, that's my only complaint about this laptop (one that I'll not have to deal with once I get a compatible USB mouse).
I have played both Titan Hunt for and Age of Empires 3, with the detail cranked all the way up, and while I had to dial back a couple of the settings, the laptop has performed laudably well. I haven't had a chance to load any FPS games yet, but feel that I'll be able to run those at medium settings.

Replacement Power Inventory for Gateway MD Series laptop
If you have to restore your power supply for this particular brand of laptop I strongly advise you to spend the extra dollars and get the higher end replacement. This one works but the obstruct which connects to the laptop itself fits loosely, not like the original output.
All in all you get what you pay for and I usually don't buy the cheaper product simply because I know it is usually less than optimal.
I will say it does what it's putative to do but you can't be mobile while using this charger because it will come unplugged and it will not charge well unless you wiggle the plug around and get it just so.
I'll keep it for an emergency and order the higher priced power up.
