bad marebought this pony as a replacement for the one i had...thought i was getting a really good deal for the amount...WRONG!! as soon as i took it outta the box it came in i could order something was wrong with the cords. within the 1st day just from being moved the rubber/plastic tubing that covers the wires split at every end where it of interest to the plug in ends and at the box exposing the wires. had to wrap it in electrical video to use it. absolutly horrible and unsafe!
Replacement Power Equipping for Gateway MD Series laptop
If you have to substitute for your power supply for this particular brand of laptop I strongly desire you to spend the extra dollars and get the higher end replacement. This one works but the block which connects to the laptop itself fits loosely, not like the original by-product.
All in all you get what you pay for and I usually don't buy the cheaper product simply because I know it is usually less than optimal.
I will say it does what it's reputed to do but you can't be mobile while using this charger because it will come unplugged and it will not charge aptly unless you wiggle the plug around and get it just so.
I'll keep it for an emergency and order the higher priced power equip.
