Product DescriptionCustomer ReviewsHot and SparkyThe well-thought-of thing I guess about this adapter, is that the plug is a two pronger instead of the conventional three prongeres. That makes it easy to hook up to older homes, but I about because of the two prongs it sparks every single time I plug it up. I make steadfast to plug into the wall first then the computer just in case. The second thing is that, that scanty sucker gets real hot so make sure it is resting on a heartless flat surface. Other than that it works and seems to charge the battery faster that the stereotyped charger. I am using it for a gateway laptop. Just works, doesn't fit well (Gateway M505 laptop) We ordered this replacement power providing for our old Gateway M505 laptop. To be direct, this unit doers not fit the M505 well. The connector plugging into the laptop fits of laughter, but not perfectly. It feels like it isn't plugged quite all the way in, so it feels like I'm infuriating to jam it into place. This is a two piece power supply with the "brick" in the middle and a separable a/c 3-prong power cord going to your wall socket. The connector successful into the brick is very loose and easily falls out. I had another old part from a different power store which is slightly tighter. Without that I would have to tape the cord on or superglue it in place. If things go well we'll replace this computer soon, so I'll do what I need to do to make it work. I really cannot endorse this product. Keep looking.
