PC Problems - HP Pavilion dv4-1227us Boot Device not Found Error ...
As I reasonable tweeted , the HP Pavilion dv4-1227us laptop my sister objective got from Amazon was seemingly from Chile so HP USA can't/won't serve her with a Crucial computer end.
Last non-stop, she called me asking me what to do if her computer abruptly cut off and said "Boot Thingamajig not Found."
Today we tried a few things, but it looks like the comptuer entirely died. She couldn't even run a indefatigably disc contain.
She impartial got off the phone with HP USA and obviously they did not have the laptop in their system. They told her the computer she bought was from Chile and they couldn't serve her.
Keep in reason, this is a computer that she upstanding purchased from Amazon.com. There wasn't any cipher that the comptuer was not submersed by HP US or that she would have to go and call another mother country to get her laptop bent.
Now, my sister has always had Apple computers. She's had an iMac and an iBook. She kind-heartedness that she would try an HP this habits since I puchased one and looooove my laptop.
Unfortunately, it looks like this is contemporary to be a very bad pain in the arse for her. This is a comptuer that is less than 90 life old!
I'm exceptionally distressed on her part since the HP patron marines in the US is pushing her off to another rural area, specially since I recognize all the qualifications seemed to be geared to US customers AND she puchased it from Amazon.com.
Sanguinely this will be straightened out and she'll be proficient to use her computer again. If not, I deem Amazon has something to fulfil for. Predominantly if she can't get it serviced in the US.

Is Windows 7 release candidate and HP Pavilion dv4-1227us compatible including vista 64 bit drivers?
Q: I've been told that windows 7 is compatible with the vista drivers and if this is true I would be very interested in installing 7 because like many others I do not like vista and it's many deficiencies. If the vista drivers are compatible, I would like any confirmation that my laptop drivers do work with 7 or if I will need to wait till the official release so that HP releases new drivers specifically for Windows 7. Thanks
A: Windows 7 RC *should* be compatible with Vista drivers, but it is not guaranteed as it is not a finished OS. If you are hesitant about testing out the RC, then you should hold off and wait until the final, finished version is released.
