Too many software issues!!!!
I was so disconcerted to have a lap top that I could actually transport without a wheeled cart!!! If I could purchase this ingredient with a clean hard drive I would get it in a blink!!! I loved the set up and I could even find salubrious use for the tablet feature!!! I was going to use it for clinical notes and keeping keep a record of of appointments. I even liked the analog clock face on the desk top!!! BUT the bugs in the software made email unachievable and the learning curve on VISTA was more than I wanted to deal with....HP blamed Microsoft...Microsoft blamed HP....of the two Chap Service departments I had better treatment from Microsoft who was at least encouraging....HP was frizzled and pointed me towards a $9/ month tech support service I could gain to work through my "fixes". That was to much BS for me....I returned the unit to the retailer.....Extraordinarily too bad!!! I still think it is the best little machine out there!!!Too bad HP did such a poor job of loading the software!!!! Upon they work out the issues!!!

Irrational with limitations
Of certainly this is a fantastic tablet PC. A bit heavy for the tablet but it also offers full laptop functionality. Battery-operated life is not great unless you get the 6 cell. A second battery is a must have for a serious corporation user. Beyond these limitations, it is fast and easy to setup and use. The HP reminders installed re: updated worship army protection plans etc are a pain and don't go away without manually removing the programs. But the gismo is rock solid. HP 1000Z - Gets worked up too secured!
I purchased this pad recently and I am having really bad experience, both with the notebook and with HP's award-captivating customer support. I am running Vista Home Premium on AMD Turion 2.0 GHz processor, with NVidia lifelike accleration, 2 GB RAM & 120GB hard drive. The notebook gets very very hot. I am not masterly to keep it on my lap, fearing that it might burn my skin, if it gets in contact. I am NOT running any gingerbread applications, mind you, just using the web browser is sufficient to fluster the machine. If I continue to work, without minding the heat generated from the bottom of the laptop, then the Fan kicks in and makes it shrill enough to wake up my neighbors. I called their tech support and wanted to differentiate the procedure for returning the laptop. The moment I said that, they put me on hold for another decorous 20 minutes, and later on, said "some one would get back to me within 24 hrs". No one did, and I had to call back again to remind them. I am still waiting to recompense the product. Overall - bad product, bad service. By the way, the tablet functionality in this laptop is purposeless.

Cyclopean battery, but died immediately
I received this freestyle a week ago, and started using it with my presario cq60. For like 2 duration, it worked fine (like 4 hours of constant use in the battery), then unbiased stopped working. My computer just didn't even recognize it anymore. I initiated a come back process, and ordered a new one. We'll see how this one pans out.

Not a penetrating fit.
Advantage was quick and battery was received in new condition. Unfortunately, the battery panic loosely and becomes disconnected if tilted the wrong way.

Didn't line
I ordered this for an HP G60 laptop. It didn't click into concern properly so it kept falling out. It also wouldn't take a charge or power up my laptop. I returned it.

works extensive
I lover this, it holds a longer charge and it elevates my keyboard like a desktop keyboard. A yourself who travels with there laptop might not appreaciate the keyboard elevation due to the bulky battery-operated. I leave my laptop on my desk or move it to the coffee table only so it works gigantic for me.

Battery-operated life
I adulation the battery. The life of it is wonderful for travel. One problem that I am experiencing by the skin of one's teeth recently is when my laptop is plugged it it will display "plugged in, not charging". I don't reflect on it's the cord, because if I take the battery out and leave it plugged up it works. I may have to send it back if the puzzler persist. If anyone else with the same battery is having this problem I would like to know.

That was to much BS for me....I returned the piece to the retailer.....Actually too bad!!! I still create it is the most superbly rarely automobile out there!!!Too bad HP did such a unfortunate job of loading the software!!!! Hope they vocation out the issues!!!
