Just bought an HP Pavilion Dv7, how do I get the quick touch buttons just above the keyboard to work?
Q: Yeah so I just bought an HP Pavilion Dv7 1023cl. Just above the keyboard are a set of lights. These lights (as far as I know) are buttons. The buttons consist of volume control, play/pause, stop, forward, back, mute and Quick Play. I can get the volume control to work but none of the other buttons seem to do anything.
Does anyone know how I can activate them?
A: First you have to have the drivers from HP installed. Then you need to setup, change or activate them via the Panel that appears in Windows "Control Panel" (possibly under Keyboard or keyboard shortcuts).
You can also check your notification area of your Start bar for an icon that will bring up that setup panel. If it's not there, then you should check Windows "Control Panel" and like Sound/Audio, there should be a Check box to display there!
