HP HDX 16-1140US or HP Pavilion dv7-1270us (Is 1366x768 too bad in comparison to a 1440x900)?
Q: I'm in between the HP HDX 16-1140US ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147922 ) and the HP Pavilion dv7-1270us ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147919 )
Differences:
16-1140US has: 500gb hard drive, 6 cell ion lithium battery, 1366x768 res and a 16 inch screen
dv7-1270us has: 320gb hard drive, 8 cell ion lithium battery, 1440x900 res and a 17 inch screen.
Taking in consideration that I would rather have a 16 inch laptop and hard drive isn't of my concern, is the resolution increase that much greater or is it barely noticed (both laptops have same ram, cpu, video card and PRICE)
A: Honestly, they're both going to be about the same size, and weigh pretty much the same. Memory has become damn cheap these days and getting an external drive is not expensive, in fact its probably safer. You can also always upgrade the hard drive in the future, what you cannot ever upgrade in a laptop is the screen. The better resolution will come in handy playing any games and watching movies. The 8 cell battery will also last a little longer, but not noticeably. Both are great laptops with great features and priced very well. Go with whatever you will fell happier with and good luck :)
