Graphics slowed and visual effects gone after 3 weeks working ...Greetings, I’m working untiringly to know and try to fathom out all these problems before I ask. I conscious they are primary. Very new to Ubuntu. My SW compadre (who installed Ubuntu 9.04 for me) put some uncordial graphics effects on my pad. They have been management prominent for the years 3 weeks. I even hooked up to a 42″ plasma and ran it with pad select. Both ran for the last 4 life with the effects. Now I only have underlying settings and the graphics are on-going tortoise-like. I tried putting the visual effects settings back to regular and accessory and I got ( Indiscretion:Desktop settings could not be enabled ) Screensaver is also palpably slower. I have an HP Compac nc6120 john@john-laptop:~$ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA in agreement manager: Intel Corporation Portable 915GM/GMS/910GML Downright Graphics Coordinator (rev 03 ) Do I indigence to run a confirmation with Compiz?
