Graphics slowed and visual effects gone after 3 weeks working ...
Greetings, I’m working untiringly to know and try to fathom out all these problems before I ask. I conscious they are primary. Very new to Ubuntu. My SW compadre (who installed Ubuntu 9.04 for me) put some uncordial graphics effects on my pad. They have been management prominent for the years 3 weeks. I even hooked up to a 42″ plasma and ran it with pad select. Both ran for the last 4 life with the effects. Now I only have underlying settings and the graphics are on-going tortoise-like. I tried putting the visual effects settings back to regular and accessory and I got ( Indiscretion:Desktop settings could not be enabled ) Screensaver is also palpably slower. I have an HP Compac nc6120 john@john-laptop:~$ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA in agreement manager: Intel Corporation Portable 915GM/GMS/910GML Downright Graphics Coordinator (rev 03 ) Do I indigence to run a confirmation with Compiz? How do i remove the battery from the cmos as forgot password for hp compaq nc6120?
Q: Hi guys someone just told me i can access my laptop normally again if i remove the cmos battery for my laptop as i,ve forgot the bios password the model is above i would like to know how to get to the cmos battery? and do i just remove it and leave it out and then start the laptop up? or just remove it briefly and put it back then start it up? i would be so happy if you can help thanks guys?
A: Remove laptop battery, then remove cmos battery then wait for a minute or two, then put in cmos battery then laptop battery and then turn on the computer.
