Was suffering, now relieved
I used up too much time worrying about getting a compatible replacement battery and looking up novel specs, prices and sources. This was the one I chose, and I wasn't sure until about a week later when I had glossed power cycling it, and had no problems in its use.
I'll upload some pictures so you can see. I used it in my Lenovo 3000 n200 0769. It fits of laughter snugly, with no rattling. When looked at straight on, it appears to be the same colour, although when you vision from a side angle (second picture), you can see that it shines differently. Still it's insignificant.
NOTE: Populace upgrading from the default 6-cell battery to this 9-cell should be aware that it's a physically larger freestyle and sticks out the back, about the size of a roll of dimes across the back. I had no problem with this because I find it to make it more strong when tilted back. It is also a little heavier due to the extra cells.
One worry I had when shopping was that Lenovo's website said that it should have an 11.1V freestyle, whereas the replacement batteries are 10.8V. But I noticed my original battery is 10.8V too, and I study that the lower the voltage, the longer the battery lasts. The Lenovo site also had distinct sizes in millimetres that seemed like some wouldn't fit, but this battery fits precisely in mine.
Battery Life & tips:
I'm definitely noticing the longer mobile life, although I'm taking better care of this one and having it hibernate at 15%. I also am not leaving it plugged in after it reaches 100%. Li-ion batteries yield capacity when kept too hot, and leaving it charging and hot is said to be bad. There's an exception to this though:
You should allegation fully (leave it in overnight), then drain fully (then repeat 2 or 3 times) when you first get the freestyle. Then once a month or two, do another full charge/full drain. This keeps your battery meter showing an spot on target % for how much is actually left. Other than that, it's best to charge multiple partial charges rather than 5% -> 100%.
The higher precedency out of the two is heat. High heat will ruin a battery much faster than bad charging habits.

Sizeable Battery
Mobile fit and works well. It holds a charge better than the original battery. It is an open life battery and sticks out past the back of the laptop. It was shipped common mail from Asia, so took about two weeks. I am happy with it.

Consequence was DOA.
Purchased an AC Adapter from Westronics for my Lenovo Laptop. The merchandise was DOA and I am now in the process of trying to get a replacement. Will update review as process progresses. Work should have been tested before shipping.

Q: I bought a laptop lenovo3000 N100 0689-A77, it was pre-installed with windows vista, the hard disk is partitioned and is hidden that it only shows 70GB it was originally 80GB i guess the hidden 10GB is where the vista and other utility is installed, my question is I would like to format my hard drive so i could install windows xp... would it have any effect on the function keys or the model was only intended for windows vista?
A: With regard to function keys, if they are linked to IBM/Lenovo programs then they probably won't work after you reinstall a different Windows. You'll need to find the program that manages the function keys to make them work again.
If the function keys are not about IBM/Lenovo programs (like adjusting screen brightness, switching monitors, NumLock) then they probably will work.
Usually the hidden partition is a recovery program that you can run by hitting a certain function key (like F11, I don't quite recall which one it is for Lenovo) and can use to restore the hard disk to its factory state (Windows Vista plus all the software that came on the hard disk).
Like the above answerer said, though, drivers are an issue when downgrading from Vista - you should check on the Lenovo support web site for drivers for XP for your model.
