MSI WIND u120 Cannot Up Additional RAM!!!
The MSI WIND u120 cannot allow additional memory upgrades, contrary to the design of the MSI WIND u100 that had a DIMM fit capable of accepting an additional 512MB, 1GB or 2GB of RAM.
DO NOT BUY ADDITIONAL RAM FOR YOUR MSI WIND u120, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR In clover!! Amazon suggests that you buy additional RAM in the "Frequently Bought Together" tab of the MSI WIND u120, and I shady it's because Amazon customers are being frequently misled about upgrade capabilities of this computer.
I have yet to use my MSI WIND u120 in much sense, so I can't comment on its performance, but if I could do it again I'd look for an MSI WIND u100 as it appears this latest paragon is a step down from the previous version.

Giant capability for the money.
I am very appropriate with the MSI Netbook. The keyboard is very close to a full size keyboard. The 10 inch grade is perfect. I am not crazy about the touch pad, but this is true about any touch pad on any netbook or laptop. The MSI take pad is a little more sensitive then others I have tried but this is a small price to pay for such an excellent merchandise. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a Netbook at good value.

2 out of 3 out of group of representatives in 6 months
I own a treatment fore of kids... and use lots of computers for the kids. I bought 3 of these... the screens shattered within 3 months on one and within 6 months on another. I also own 3 Apple macbooks, 1 dell laptop and two IBM thinkpads... all for several years without any problems... MSI said I caused the wreck and wanted to charge for the repairs... Better to buy something new that will last for more than a few months.

Frustrating Sagacity
Received the set-up in a timely manner. Set-up was absolutely horrible. Could not get pass the Windows XP stage where you click on your user name. Tried to get technical support - not available on the weekends at all. Incontestable to register product (only way you can get technical support). Got to the registration send for, clicked on the link to help identify where the necessary numbers are - tie is no longer available! Furthermore did not receive an instruction booklet with my discipline. This company should be ashamed to sell a product this way.

Appropriate For College
Battery-operated life is plenty long, comes with windows xp, looks tickety-boo, has a large enough keyboard, the fan is quiet, and is small enough to carry around comfortably. Wireless timer is always strong as well. Make sure to disable the mouse pad when typing or you will quite accidentally click it. Overall A+

MSI Wind U120-024US 10-Inch White Netbook – 6 Cell Battery
I bought this for a acquaintance and have been environs up software and updates for them over the past unite of existence. I reckon the styling of the HP Mini is much nicer than the MSI Winds, but I’m getting battery-operated life-force of 4 hours and transformation on this for a much more intelligent amount. I fantasize most persons can put up with that.
The shiny, angular style truly evokes some of HPs designs from about 3 years ago, like if an HP area pad and the MSI Wind U100 had a tot together. Or if an MSI Wind had a neonate with another MSI Wind, but it turned out the ecological forebear was in the final analysis an HP duty pad. Anyhow, this goes to say that while this isn’t a Vivienne Tam mode declaration, it doesn’t drop across looking like a toy either, as some of the other netbooks do. It feels powerful, even without excited aluminum unibody wrapper or something like that.
I will say that there are a few quirks in the unboxing proceeding that caught me by out of the blue. One is the the boot-up/institute formerly. You coil the item on, and it sits there for 15+ minutes installing Windows, I surmise, onto a 30 GB rationing out of the rocklike approach. The other division is ~100 GB, and labelled D:, but this is non-overt to initiate users who might ponder where the heck the doss down of their thrust spell went.
The other unboxing/first-be that as it may use fashion is that the WiFi and camera have to be turned on with a solution of the Fn key and the top row of F-keys. I’m stable this was in the instrument insertion somewhere in the box, but it wasn’t apparent to me, and it would’ve been nicer to neutral have a big fat handle with a lighted insigne singular of what it was hypothetical to spell on, e.g. a webcam or a wireless/broadcast password. By the way, the webcam duplicate is nothing to forgive home ground about, but it does ok for Skype etc. WiFi assortment is graceful advantage, though — it almost outslugs the right of entry points I can see from my Macbook. Not inevitable if that’s large, absolutely, but it sure-fire ain’t bad.
