Delight this machine!
I purchased this computer 3 weeks ago and so far I have no primary complaints! It's fast, I use it to game (world of warcraft) as well as photo editing. It zooms through these with quieten!
The two things I would complain about are trivial and inherent in a laptop. One, the screen. It's very hopeful and not good for editing photos (even toned down it has issues). I had seized as much and planned on getting an external monitor. The color is wonderful for gaming and other things however. If you scheme on using it for photo editing you will want a different monitor. That said, it is a VERY outgoing LCD screen.
The other is the spots for usbs, external speakers, and the power quantity input. I think those are more a matter of preference. I tend to hook mine up to multiple things and use a USB hub so it's not a jumbo deal.
Those are the only things I could even try to complain about, and IMO those are very, very trivial and subject to user choice. I bought 2 external hard drives for my photos.
The built in speakers non-speculative pretty good for a laptop. If you leave it open a lot you might find that the metal vex/grill thing over the speakers likes dust. Not a big deal.
It is a Colossal laptop so I wouldn't recommend it if you are traveling a lot and want something light and compact.
Battery life is kind of weak but that's to be expected of such a large laptop, the mesh is huge. I keep it plugged in most of the time. It lasts about 2.5 hours for me without the hype stop up.

Elevated performance
I bought this about a year ago and as far as the act go it works great. I can only complain about the lack of any accessories for this laptop.

Very fastidious
I like that it has the # pad and full 1080P riddle and HDMI HD out + dolby 5.1 out. Makes it so you can hook it right into anyones dwelling theator and play a blue ray over it. Runs both Vista and Windows 7 with no issues.
I would say its the fulfilled laptop except it does have 3 small issues.
1) It has vista blah...now it has windows 7 on it :)
2) It is mobile hungry, but then with that screen I would expect it to be
3) The video card despite being a Nvidia 9600 gt can't use the nvidia drivers from [...], you have to get ones co-written by sony/nvidia which only seem to get updated about 1 era a year.

Pleasing
The laptop indoors before it's scheduled time and was adequately packaged. It looked great for a refurbished matter and I appreciated the attention to making it look new. The seller did a wonderful job and so far the work is living up to its specs.

Effects, soild product!
A covet time ago, I used to have a VAIO desktop computer. It ran great, it had everything I wanted and it runs to this day ... When I need to use an older processor and motherboard. But I purchased this new VAIO laptop as a "part-time commerce use, part-time personal use" machine. And boy does it serve that role well!
Pros: Most appropriate screen (resolution and size), good (but not great) hardware components, Blu Ray!, very usuable - truthful out of the box, good quality sound (but... see the cons)
Though I do not have many complaints about this output, there are some things I wish worked better.
Cons: Speakers - while sounding fitting - are very quiet, short power cord from the brick compared to other laptops, Wireless NIC drivers have some problems, intolerable and bulky (but no more so than other laptops in this size), doesn't come with Vista Essential, my preferred OS until 7 is released.
The only on going problem with this machine is that the wireless NIC drivers have trouble connecting to the VPN at my advocacy. The built-in speakers are very quiet, though very nice sounding, during movie playback. If you don't have use headphones, you might want to consider add-on external speaker(s). Other than that, this machine runs like a champ and I craving will give me many years of good service.

personally i like the asus after reading about the differences the only problem is that the sony vaio has blue ray. Is it possible to upgrade that asus models dvd player to blue ray for future?

A: well the centrino will bring up a price line a lot on any pc! the core 2 duo is a powerful safe processor that is good for the buck! asus has been a trusted laptop company longer than sony. i hardly hear bad about either. and the blue ray? u can buy a blue ray drive and put it in ur asus easily. its all about the money though money though. right now asus has one of the top rated laptops on market right now the triple e. The centrino is a battery saver but the core 2 duo is a decent processor also depends on what u want to spend
