I've heard mixed reviews about both. i've reaseached both. I can't decide which one i get my moneys worth out of or which one is actually worth what i'm paying for....
Please don't base your advice on appearance because i like the way both of them look....i just need to know which is better.
A: They are both very good laptops. Both have the same processors (Intel® Core™2 Duo mobile processor T5550).
The difference is the Hard Drive. The Sony has a significantly smaller hard drive but has blue tooth--which the HP does not.
Also, the screen is smaller on the Sony. You are paying more for the Sony because of the name. And rightfully so. Sony consistently puts out excellent electronics. Their customer service is one of the best as well
However, HP has really improved their laptops over the past 3 years and for the difference in money, I would get the HP. 120GB difference on the hard drive is significant. Your getting more for your money. And less with the Sony.
Which is usually the case for Sony products (less for more).
