Purchasing additional RAM?
Q: I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FS770/W 15.4" Notebook PC (Intel Pentium M Processor 750, 1024 MB RAM, 100 GB Hard Drive, DVD+R Dbl Layer/DVD+/-RW Drive). I'd like to purchase another gig of Ram, but I have no idea what to buy. Could someone provide me with the *exact* product? A link to the product with an option to purchase it would be great. Thanks!
Thanks for all the answers. Now I'm a bit more confused. I went to www.crucial.com, put in the data for my specific pc, and it said: If your notebook has 1GB of memory installed, you cannot upgrade the memory.
So--that's it? Not possible?
(To answer one of the questions, the video editing software I installed says I don't have enough RAM for it to work properly--that's why I wanted to buy more.)
A: you need to puchase ddr ram. tigerdirect.com usually has the best prices. your laptop has two 2x512 MB memory if you remove one of these to install a 1024 you will have 1536 MB RAM, not 2048 MB.
