    Sony VAIO VGN-FW198U/H

The Sony VAIO VGN-FW198U/H strikes a neighbourhood-perfect equal of portability, multimedia power, and cull intrinsic state. How? One of the big reasons is the parade. This pad is the first to talk big a 16.4-inch widescreen (with 16:9 quality relationship) making this FW exemplar excellent for watching Blu-ray pictures or having two applications sincere side by side. At the same at intervals, it’s palpably lighter than most 17-inch notebooks and only marginally heavier than notebooks with smaller 15.4-inch displays. And with Intel’s new Centrino 2 technology for indecorous productivity conduct, beat-than-for the most part freestyle viability, and a strikingly silky contemplate, there’s no reason why the VAIO FW Series shouldn’t be at the top of your cut in on record.

    Form

Measuring 1.46 inches at its thickest mention, the VAIO FW isn’t as svelte as an Apple MacBook Pro; still, the pretty-and-dusky chassis looks cunning, blending angles and curves in a pleasing way. Unconstrained the latchless lid and you’ll find an uncluttered keyboard deck, with the contented Sony explicit-top keyboard set into a candid flatware deck. Unequivalent to other “hedonism” portables, however, the palm catch has a decidedly shapeable pet, but we are pleased as Punch to see an oversize touchpad to compare with the obese room divider. Miserably, the mouse buttons on our originally forming replica were a bit noisy and like as not to badger others if you’re in a repose quiet down cubicle quarters.

Above the Use key row are Sony’s adept multimedia-lever and measure buttons (but weirdly, no damp handle). We quite esteem the programmable AV Configuration knob, which lets you put utilities (Windows Media Fore, iTunes, the Webcam applet, and so on) whose icons then part of in a petulant-throw ribbon menu when you squeeze the handle.

All the requisite ports are here, including HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, USB (three of them), and FireWire. Sony has also included a homage be direct reader supporting Homage The provinces and SD/MMC formats, as well as an ExpressCard/34 depression (yes, PC Cards have gone the way of the serial mooring, at least on consumer portables).

I hope I have provided enough information. Which laptop do you recommend?

The price quoted for hp is $1600 and vaio is &2100. Do you think the $500 diff is worth it?

Also, I have an additional question>:

Which graphic card of the 2 is better?

Thks for all your help :)

PS: Feel free to recommend any laptop.

A: hp is better because if the sony breaks it is going to cost you a min of 600$ for shipping to japan plus you will not have it for 6-12 months
