portege purchaser since 10years but this is my last
Bought this 18 months ago. It cannot take more than 1.5G of recollection which is way insufficient; contrary to what they say, the screen is crap, the speaker is crap, and it runs Very hot. For the first time I had a hard disk problem and had to re-install windows XP. I have been a jubilant portege user since 1999 and was very happy with my previous R100, and for the price I paid for this I demand far better.

Rip off
Over payment over priced So over priced! The Solid State Drive is nice but this Laptop is rarely top of line and would been Over price a year ago on top that for a computer that near obsolete why heck would it have occasion for a 3-Year Limited Warranty?! That is part of the price of this puppy.
Vista Province was the crappiest buggiest Vist ever made out of all the crappy Vista.An OS Microsoft even admits was pushchair,Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Edition and Norton 360 All-In-One Surveillance 2007???? Three years out date! Ok This kind makes some sense as this would be the get of the thing in 2007 (and still slightly High) This system worth about 300.00 dollars and only becouse it has Microsoft Assignment Professional 2007( by it self that licence is worth it(but dose it surface with a install disk?) but the rest give me a break ,this price is Insane way over charged.My not in harmony son bought a better Laptop at wall mart for 150.00 dollars and that was crap. Been repairing systems 25 years and this is the worst negotiation I have ever seen, The buyer must forgot this is 2010 not 2007.

When Toshiba released the Harbourégé R500   in July 2007, the South African private limited company billed it as the era’s lightest 12-inch pad with an integrated visual whirl. The tricked-out Anchorageégé R500-S5007V is even lighter, and packs some suffered upgrades: a 128GB consistent federal pep, a transflective LED-backlit indoor/out of doors viewing flaunt, and a Drowse and Allege USB harbour, for keeping movable professionals fertile on the go. The silver screen is still a bit dim indoors for our tastes—noticeably for a system that payment three comprehensive—but you do get more than 5 hours of mobile biography in a strikingly slim think up.

Measuring 11.1 x 8.5 x 0.8 inches and weighing unprejudiced 2.2 pounds (2 ounces lighter than its forefather), the R500 remains one of the thinnest, lightest machines in its stock—it’s even lighter than a mob of mini-notebooks, including the 10-inch MSI Liquidate .
