The tangible deal.So cheerful to get this and to see the Toshiba label on it. I had gotten a cord from a computer repair shop that went out within 2 duration and was not the 19.5 volts that my computer was... It only had the 18.5 or 19.5 volt whip on there. I have had this one for months and it's like the one that came with the computer.

Don't nuisance buyingSo I bought this portion as a replacement for the Toshiba power unit and was a bit thrown off by the smaller size and string. Should have gone with my first instinct and returned this item. Bought the unit in May, received in June, and as of yesterday July 21, the line has already broken. Seriously, the wires just snapped in half between the adapter box and the computer power string. Of course, it is passed the 30-day return policy date, therefore I can't get the full amount refunded on this unwell built equipment. I would look for other units before even considering to buy this one. I though I was getting a buy....nope, just got ripped off.
Works, but sounds outlandish
The mount works but it makes a really odd sound. It kinda squeaks any once in a while it's plugged in. It's not really a problem unless you're wanting to use your computer in quiet quarter like the library.
Works, but Very Loud!
I bought this after being shocked at the OEM replacement expenditure, and secondarily shocked by the Best Buy "Universal Charger" cost (about $100). Here's my very temporary report: I own a Toshiba U405-S2826 laptop, and this recharger perfectly performs its job. The advertise fits into the back of my laptop perfectly, and the charger works as well as the original. BUT....it's a very vociferous item. It constantly emits a noise that sounds for all the world like the basic modems that came with home computers. I have moderate hearing shrinkage, but nonetheless find the alternating high pitched squeal (also somewhat reminiscent of midget-wave radio static)highly distracting. I have to put a pillow over the power cache to silence it, leaving me worried that I'll let enough heat build up under the pillow to call a fire. So far, so good, my house is still standing. You'll save money, but make steadfast to add on the cost of earplugs!

I took a conceivability and puchased this for my son. The original power supply cord on his laptop had overdone out. Fortunately, this cord fit perfectly and my son's laptop is back up and running. Not to mention, the worth was great and it was deliverly very quickly.
