    Toshiba satellite m45-s359 wont start?

    Q: I have a toshiba satellite m45-s359 and when i turn it off it will not shutdown. It gets stuck to the windows logo. When i want to start the computer again the video starts 3/4 of the screen and freezes there. I have to waite at least 15 min before i restart the computer again.

    Any suggestions would be very helpful.

    A: Taking apart a laptop, or any computer, isn't that hard. I have to believe your at least as smart as a CompUSA Tech. I have a M35-S359 that I'm writing to you from which crashed about a month ago. The error code that my led was blinking said I needed a new motherboard. I followed the directions at the website listed below, gutted, and then reassembled the machine. It works fine now.

    Be brave, be careful, and you can probably fix it yourself in a couple of hours. I recommend having a lot of containers to group the different sized screws you're going to find. Also take notes. Even take digital photos if you need to.
