    Can I install Windows XP on Toshiba Satellite U405-S2824?

    Q: I just picked this laptop up at Office Depot, but it comes with Windows Vista Home Premium. Even with 3GB of ram, it runs sluggish.

    I was able to do a clean install of Windows XP Professional SP2.

    I downloaded the XP drivers that they had off the Toshiba website, the chipset and graphics drivers off Intel's website, and the UAA bus driver (sound/modem) off microsoft.

    After the clean install, I tried to install the chipset driver and it looks like everything installs except for one piece.

    "ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 6 2849"

    I believe this is the port for the Wifi, since everything else looked normal.

    Here are my specs if you they can help you,
